Honor God. Make Disciples. That’s the mission/vision of Victory Christian Fellowship. Each leader is encouraged to GO honor Him and GO reach out to others who will be disciples of Christ.
Last May 23, 2012, the Leaders Appreciation Night was held in VCF Ortigas. It was a solemn, calm, and encouraging night for the leaders. I myself am so encouraged and energized. I am so ready to continue to do one2one.

Allow me to tell you a little story.
Last February, my aunt-in-law was given 1 week to live. The day she left the hospital, she was brought home. My husband and I said we will visit her the next morning to preach and ask her to accept Jesus as her Lord and Saviour. But the ‘next morning’ didn’t materialize as she died on that same night she was brought home. My sadness was terrible during that time. Three months after, my aunt-in-law’s husband died. No one expected that. We were all shocked. There was not even a hint that it will happen. We were never able to reach out to him as well. Another series of sadness.
Because of that, my husband started texting his family to accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. It was like a desperate plea for them. Then we decided to start doing one2one with each cousin who is here in Manila, who is just a call away from us. Those who are in the province will be next on Christmas vacation (although we are trying to communicate with them in whatever way possible).
We have to be radical now. We have to be quick now. We have to act now. Every day, every hour, every minute, every second counts. We never know what will happen next. So act now. Plant seeds and harvest now. One at a time starting now.
It was then easy to reach out to people we don’t know. It was then hard to reach out our family members. But I realized that if I just GO and do it, God and the Holy Spirit will do the rest for them. It’s not on my hands anyway. Only God can move them. But still, I MUST GO and always be ready to be used by God especially when it comes to my family and extended family.
It took two deaths for us to realize that we cannot procrastinate. Out of LOVE I should honor God and make disciples. I should do it now.
The major lesson I learned from this experience is that, we don’t need to be in this kind of frustrating and sad situation for us to reach out to people or plant seeds. And so we bought many one2one booklets already and started on S-T-A-R-T! Praise god for His grace and mercy.

I would like to thank my spiritual family for always being there for me ever since I was a college student. My VG leader and mother in Christ Ate Charmaine Campaner showed me a good example of being Christlike. She also guided me well on how to handle one2one and how to lead a victory group well. I am grateful to VCF Ortigas. The pastors never fail to encourage me. They challenge me.
Going back to the Appreciation Night – it feels good to be honored. Honestly, just a simple ‘thank you’ and a simple party would do. But VCF surprised us with more than I expected. Each leader received a Certificate of Appreciation in a frame. I felt really special. It means a lot.
So thank you for the appreciation. To God be the glory!
